Biography

May or may not be entirely true.

Established in 1978

Alasdair was born nearly half a century ago in North Ayrshire with a mix of Hebridean and Irish heritage.

He has since relocated to civilization (well Linwood) and stays with his wife, kids and his wife's cat

He spends his days trying not to blow up his lab and  his evenings refereeing his family.

He writes when time allows. It seems to be well received.

Alasdair is a founding member of Threeman Films and The Jackson Writers' Group.

Thus far work has been performed for Scottish Screenwriters, Script to Stage (Renfrewshire), Roughly Staged and Short Attention Span Theatre. He persists in submitting to Page to Stage and A Play, a Pie and a Pint.

In 2025 Alasdair was longlisted for The David MacLennan Award at A Play, a Pie and a Pint.

Alasdair's work has been performed at various venues including The Centre for Contemporay Art, Cottiers, The Old Hairdressers, GMAC, Theatre 118 and, in the very near future, the Gaiety in Ayr. 

Some of his work has also cropped up on YouTube and Spotify.
